Buidling a RIF (AEG/GBB) - Legal in the UK?
20 January, 2018, 13:41
Hi All,
A good friend and I recently got into a conversation around the legality of building a RIF of any kind (AEG/GBB) here in the UK. With the recent introduction last year of new laws that tighten up the definition of what constitutes a Section 5 firearm, does anybody have any idea around building RIFs and if its legal to do so (meeting usual 'restrictions' implied; ie over 18, member of an insured airsoft site, meets FPS limits etc).
I don't want to start a conversation around UKARA/having a defence too much, just more would like to get an idea around if its legal to put together a RIF with parts bought in the UK.
Thanks!

As long as you have a defence and the gun falls into the permitted fps range then it's fine
