  • WE Glock 18c - Cool down issue

I've had myself a We Glock 18c (Gen 4) for a few months now and whilst I'm pleased with it I can't help but feel disappointed with its gas consumption and its cool down.

I've just set up two mags ready for firing at room temperature and was able to empty the first on semi comfortably, however when I tried burst fire with the second mag it failed to lock back the slide.

Subsequent magging up and testing has the same effect no matter how long I leave it between shots or whether its on full auto / semi.

Am I being unreasonable in the performance I would expect from this GBB, or is it just something that happens with the WE make?

I used a pair of them at a skirmish the other day - they both got off half a mag before running out of gas repeatedly, apparently they had just come back from being upgraded.

Have you checked the state of the blowback unit?

No I haven't, what would I be looking for?

I'm currently using Cyberpower ASP 3 gas and my Glock has a metal slide (comes as standard), it is possible that I need to use a more powerful gas?

I have no idea what cyberpower ASP 3 is, so cant comment on that - I'd run it on green/propane whenever possible. And I'd look for cracks/broken seals.

Oops, I mean "Cybergun Extreme Blowback APS 3".

Out of curiosity what gas/brand do you use with your Glock?
