Star SCAR H Gearbox locking up .

I bought a Star scar H deluxe edition of a good friend its only been used once then put back in the box and not used for a good few year at lest 5 maybe more , in the box was the compliments slip with the fps 328 after it had a spring change when bought of zero one .
Here's my problem I connected a battery to it to test fire it but nothing happened so I field stripped it to check the connections one of the connections was loose I also noticed that the spring was left fully compressed I put all back together fitted a fully charged battery stuck a mag in and fired of a few bb's everything was ok range was up and down so I chrono'ed it it was fire at 278 to 289 fps that's a big drop form the 328fps it was firing at before

I guest it was because the spring had been compressed for a long time , I've put a new m100 spring in but it locks fully up when fired luckily its the quick change gearbox when I put the old spring back in it cycle fine but the fps is back to 260 t 278fps .

I'm guessing it could be the motor not having enough guts to pull the m100 spring back hopefully someone can confirm this for me and tell me the right type motor to pull the m100 spring back I'm looking to get it up to around 330 to 335 fps .
I'm upgrading to barrel and also buck as the one already in it is the original star red one and the barrel is 6.05mm and I've a nice pommy to go in her to make her feel good any help would be gratefully received .

All fixed it wasn't the motor after all the QD spring giude was was in properly .
