Mosfet help (Gate & JeffTron)
20 November, 2016, 11:58
Morning all, I'm in need of some assistance for you wonderful film.
im toying with getting a new AEG, looking at either cracker, sentry, M7 or rapid fire. It will be G&P though. In the past I always had issues with semi locking with G&P guns. Whilst I know midgets like the ACSU or really good I'm on a budget so wanting to know if any of these mosfets if hardwired at time of purchase will tick the boxs below
Allow safe use of 11.1 lipo in G&P AEG's
stop locking on semi
improve trigger response
improve rate of fire
I believe the answers are yes for the most part but not sure to what extent. I'm not expecting systems quality. It would be good to get decent rate of fire and reliability on semi auto with much improved trigger response.
Cheers

Yea they all will
stop locking on semi
No the locking on semi is normally down to trigger trolley and anti reverse latch and how quick you trigger bash
So there will always be a chance of locking.. unless you use the ascu which gets rid of anti reverse and replaces the trigger system
improve trigger response
Yes all will as send power straight to motor
improve rate of fire
Yes slightly as power to motor not to contacts

Re: Mosfet help (Gate & JeffTron)
Cheers for the above, glad I asked as I always thought that when a mosfet had active breaking it was this feature that stopped it locking in semi, is there something that I need to look out for on the list of MOSFET functions that will do this?

Re: Mosfet help (Gate & JeffTron)
locking can also be down to several more reasons than stated, weak battery will lock it up, poor shimming, motor height, weak motor, main spring binding, over rotation, tappet plate binding on sector gear, piston catching on rails., warped gearbox shell.
Jefftron is a good mid priced (£50)mosfet to achieve better trigger response, the mkII came out recently, allow the use of 11.1 lipo and give you a consistent cycle which would reduce lock ups, or prevent them, as long as you have a decent neodymium motor, all your internals are in good order, decent shimming, that sort of thing, ASCU can be a great mosfet, but their aftersales is really bad, jefftron are a whole lot better, also im currently using Grizzly mosfets ,they are on the same vein as the others, same price as ASCU , only been out a year or so,internal installation without analogue switches, they also use magnets for switches so you lose the chance of micro switches breaking ,After sales so far is good, ie they answer your questions. the new kids on the block however is the just released Gate Titan, looks promising
