  • G&G GC16 MPW- Upgrade and battery advice.

    Hi guys,

Im getting back into airsoft and Im about to order a G&G CM16 MPW 9".

Im going to be looking to ugrade the internals, can anyone recommend a decent TB barrel and hop combo for this gun?

Also is anyone able to confirm if you can run the gun from an 11.1v LiPo as stock due to it having a MOSFET?

    Many thanks!

What sort of performance figures are you looking to achieve?

A MOSFET will protect the switch from arcing, so your wiring loom will be fine given that there aren't any excessive bottlenecks in there. The MOSFET is however, only one area covered, the rest of the internal setup should be considered too - if you are coming from a stock gun then I would advise against running it on a 11.1v unless you have already planned the nescessary parts + required modifications to make the higher rate sustainable.

Something I did when converting my old G3SAS to run 11.1v LiPo was to upgrade the wiring to 16AWG. Thicker wires mean less resistance. It's a really cheap upgrade too.
