Its a god awful shame that timewasters cant be given bad feedback on here somehow. Arranged for a courier (mate) to drive down 3.5 hours and also a local tech to sort the spring for fps change only to be ignored.
Better than being scammed i suppose but massively annoying.
Is there any kind of rep facility on tapatalk for members to make genuine members aware of the type of people youre dealing with?
    Rant over.

That sort of thing boils my p***.

Another is the type of person I refer to as a photo collector.

They ask for the ins and outs of a ducks backside, a load of photos and then say something like "actually I was looking for a <<insert item>>

So why not just say that at the beginning rather than getting me to waste my life taking photos for an item you had not desire or intent on buying?
Away from UK until June / July. Happy to still buy but sales will be harder due to not being home.

    Wanted:
    VFC 416c, 416d, 417 GBBR
    VFC 416c, 416d AEG
    HERA arms Glock chassis

Couldn't agree more with the above, I put one of my pistols up for sale on the forum a couple of weeks back, had a request from a guy on here for photos, information, you name it, he wanted it, after 15 pm's I said look here's my PayPal address let's do the deal. Next pm was, oh I can't buy it, I'am skint, would have to sell some of my stuff first. Wasted over 1hour and a half of my time on this jerk.

Exactly this. Pictures, extensive list of upgrades, descriptions. All can be seen in the actual ad. Stripped gearbox, fitted dmr spring. Multiple requests of can i have this and not this. All accommodated. Thats before the stress of "is this guy gonna screw me" .After that i dont think ill swap anything again on here. Sale only, never had any problem and always happy to help out afterwards, mainly because i wouldnt sell kak.

I think you can still leave feedback even if you didn't make a purchase

            Has to be positive.

Can't say that <insert user here> said they'd buy, agreed a time/date/price, me and wife & 2 kids left family engagement early to honour this, then <insert user here> never showed up. Later claiming when asked on PM that they 'forgot'.

            Grrr

              Re: Timewasters and common courtesy

I've been experiencing this a lot more lately. One guy arranged to meet me for something I was selling, he contacted me about meeting, his replies were prompt, told me where he wanted to meet up. Then nothing at all...

The other thing I keep getting lately, (3 times this week) is people PM'ing me to ask if I still have something, asking for extra pictures, only to tell me they'd have it but 'don't have the money right now'... Then don't bloody PM me about it then!

What also gets my back up is PM's that don't say 'Hello' or 'Thanks/regards/whatever' at the end. Pm's such as 'You got x', 'Your best price?' with nothing else, make me not want to bother replying.
AEG video reviews (see 'my topics'):
              G&G L85A2, Carbine & AFV, MP5 Blowback, G2010/F2000, M4 (GR16 & GR15 Raider), FNC, UMG & more...

This isn't a major issue, just a bit quirky

Someone asks for any guns for sale, I reply with something, and then someone else sees my post and writes asking me to PM them.
If they are interested then why don't they just PM me

Lol, it's obviously our own fault, as sellers we have expectations based upon our manners, intelligence & upbringing, & most of the time potential buyers meet those expectations, in the most part due them sharing the same expectations, usually for all the same reasons.
BUT then along comes the new breed of mouthbreathing knuckledragging onlinegameplaying chavs, for whom stringing a sentence together is a major effort, they've become reliant on text speak & predictive text, thankfully the keyboards aren't voice operated, otherwise all we'd get in pms would be a chain of grunts burps & farts lol.

I had an item up for sale. Got a PM asking was it still available? I replied it was. PM making me an offer. I accepted & gave PP details. Never heard from him again. Go figure.

Umpteen PM's about the item to which I happily reply - I then ask about a valid defence under the VCRA - then nothing.

On another forum, I get a "Moderator" essentially agreeing to a transaction, suddenly all communications cease.

Same forum, more PM's - allegedly , potential buyer says "very interested" - again I ask about the VCRA defence, to which I get a reply "do i need one ?"

Lack off comm's after money sent , that's my real gear grinder !
The pm's are flying back and fourth sorting the deal then soon as you send the beer tokens ?.......?
Silence ! As has been mentioned on many many occasions on these 'moan' threads , it's just common curtesy to up date the buyer "money received/will post tomorrow/posted" .
Unfortunately there ARE a lot of scammers on T'interweb and I'm sure we've all had that sinking feeling after we've clicked to send our hard earned for some shinny trinket ?
Just be nice to put the buyers mind at ease more than anything .
From deepest darkest pagan Wales ! The steel wolves !
