The link to his Facebook page - he has some cool pics in there too.
In case anyone didn't click on the link to Marcus' FB page, you might be interested to know that there's a movie being filmed right now about it. Here's a link for more info:
    http://www.lonesurvivor.net/the-movi...survivor-cast/

Luttrell himself is overseeing all the filming to make sure it doesn't get the 'Hollywood' treatment, let's hope the actors can do the guys justice!

There are some seal pics floating around that sound similar to what you have described but they have LC2 mag pouches on belt rigs so they are perhaps older.

I dont think they were flight suits, from what i remember they were just tan BDU's. Seal team 3? The guy on the far right.

i have some pics somewhere of force recon guys wearing flight suits ( not VBSS) this was before the frog gear stuff so like '04/05 i think, but anyway they used them for searching huts/houses to protect against petrol bombs. ive not seen any seal wear them, apart from VBSS of course.

It's listed but in that HALO jump pic, the guy is wearing tri-colour BDU's.

As above the only time i've seen them used in pics is VBSS.

If you want a heavier boot (which means you want to carry lots of weight on you) I'd go the Asolo Fugitive route.
My new Merrell Sawtooths just arrived from Poland £71 all in :-)

you all probably know already but they have made a film based on the Lone Survivor story and book by Marcus Luttrell... Mark Wahlberg plays Marcus...

this has led me onto my latest loadout and will be doing one based around what Wahlberg wears in the film..

                        Kit so far:

                        tactical facial hair/beard ----------loading--------90%------

( DMR ) m16 custom build with 20" barrel, painted up in desert colours
                        DCU tri colour trousers,
                        desert boots
unknown vest but very similar to ones in reference pics
hard steel combat training knife with RS American BDU hunting knife sheath ( hunting knife will stay at home, i never carry real blades unless in a multi tool )

                        kit on way :
                        Bdu woodland jacket
                        Bdu woodland boonie
Texas moral patch ( collector of patchs so this si not just for the loadout )
Mechanix gloves black with black writing

kit still awaiting approval to purchase:

                        IR flashlight
no doubt some more will come apparent, but at the moment, got most of the kit, or the rets is on order, pics of me in kit to follow

                        Lone_Survivor_06.jpg
'Why did you shoot him 13 times?'
'The browning mag only holds 13 rounds sir.'

                        awesome quote

The rifle isn't an m16, it's an SPR. Different barrel, fore end and potentially stock.

The chest rig is an Eagle Industries RRV and the knife is a SOG pup I believe...

Googling "operation red wing" will get you plenty of reference images... As per usual Hollywood seems to have taken dom creative license.

                              whats the deal comms wise?

i can only make out one radio per person in most of the pics and can't tell if it's a prc-148 or 152
