Problem Traders & Outright Scammers

DO NOT contact Zero One, they are not responsible for your trading, they are not responsible for you not doing enough checks to make sure some one is legitimately selling an item and they do not manage this forum.
It is YOU as a community that have to start paying attention to NOT allow yourself to fall into any traps when trading on here. IF NO ONE FALLS FOR THEIR SCAM THEN THEY WILL GIVE UP!
Even if you are purchasing a gun from some one, CHECK THEIR DETAILS ARE ON UKARA.
Make sure you get their email so you can Google it or check it on Facebook to see if it matches up to anything.
Google Image Search has the ability to add saved images or image urls to a search to find matching images in the Google database.
Use a 3rd party to mediate the sale such as Zero One's Escrow Service.
Make sure your payment is sent for GOODS and NEVER gift via PayPal.
Fund your payment from a Credit Card if you can as that gives you even more payment protection.
Ask for a photo with today's newspaper or their forum username and date in it.
If some one does end up on the end of a scam/con why don't you take legal action? THAT WAY THE PERSON MAY LEARN THEIR LESSON AND NOT TRY IT AGAIN! If you take legal action against these people Zero One will get involved and help as much as they can. BUT ONLY when requested with a data request form by the investigating officer. We (Zero In) nor Zero One WILL GIVE OUT ANY DETAILS so don't bother asking. (Data protection act, which is why even police have to issue a data request form). This was the case a few years ago with Dan Gilliam.
On a final note, if something looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Re: Problem Traders & Outright Scammers
A little bump for those that haven't read the forum rules and guides.
