Re: RMP Close Protection Loadout
If they wear any BA its the issue stuff, it depends on where they are though. In Afghan they would while moving around but might not inside a FOB or compound.

Has it come to mind that the topic is called 'RMP Close Protection Loadout' for a reason - as they're close protection officers. I think the idea may be that they are protecting a general for example - so he's not going to have protection on to the same level, as he's being protected? More likely to be covert body armour underneath clothing?
Not necessarily. Unless of course your just talking about this particular picture.
Quite often in hostile environments such as Iraq etc, the principal has the same level of protection as the team. Generally in places like Iraq etc the principal would wear the current issue body armour as well as having his own weapon, sometimes just a pistol but more often than not a rifle as well. If the threat is high enough to warrant the cp team wearing full battle rattle, then the team would request the principal do the same. It is highly unlikely that the principal would wear a covert vest when his protection detail is so overt, especially considering the low level of protection that covert vests offer compared to their overt counterparts.

No matter where they are the current threat assessment would dictate what PPE is used. Bare in mind that the threat assessment for the GOC of Afghanistan, for example, may be completely different to that of the troops on the ground. In a FOB the cp team may deem the threat high enough to warrant the principal wearing full PPE at all times. Of course generally the principal gets the final day and may tell you to fvck off. When it comes to close protection here is no set answer for what would be worn and when.

Re: RMP Close Protection Loadout
I have a question,
Today, RMP use only L119? or they use other rifle?

RMP have the same L85A2 as everyone else, they may get L119's when on CP work.

On this page :

I see that the HK417 is used by RMP CP. Do you have any sources or photos in situation?
