Just a couple of weeks ago on a lunch break at work, I got within 15 feet of 8 deer near the Lulworth ranges. I was wearing DPM trousers and a high vis yellow bomber type jacket. Obviously a hi vis jacket is the best camouflage!!

In my opinion as a serving soldier it works well. The big difference between airs oft and the real world is that we are generally speaking fighting over a longer distance therefore you a harder to spot. For close up work you would adapt you camo to your environment. Extreme examples of this are snipers who will change their camo by using foliage from the environment which they are working in.
There is a reason that more of them fail on field craft than shooting.
