Re: need help with a soviet set up
Well, there are at least 3 70's/Afghan conflict themed threads in this very subsection, on the first page, so I'm not really sure what extra info you need?

Just get some KLMK, you can't go wrong with KLMK....& an AKM. job done.

Re: need help with a soviet set up
How accurate do you want it to be? You could just go with a 3-4 mag Chicom type chest rig and make it look something like

Re: need help with a soviet set up
Lifchik chest rig with Soviet era belt, and AK47 mag pouch attached to belt, KLMK oversuit. I have/had almost that very same loadout and a wood AK74
Belt and mag pouches are easy to get and can be had for peanuts
KLMK can still be had but damages easily (was nicknamed 'the condom') and seems to be coming more collectable. I was actually considering selling mine, but has a slight rip at he back of one leg
Lichiks were like rocking horse poop and priced accordingly, or at least they were when I was looking for one, which is why I went for the Chicom

Ah is there anything more durable than KLMK ? if not I may have to bring my load out into the 21st century judging by my play style

Afghanka, but it's rare and probably expensive. More collectable than anything
Have a look for a KZS suit. Like KMLK but darker, made from like a burlap/sack cloth. Much more durable than KLMK but is still what was classed as a disposable oversuit. I've seen people ask silly money but I sold mine for £20 on here a while back

Summer/Autumn gorka's if you expand your time frame. Mine get day to day use and have proven incredibly durable, definitely worth the cost

Re: need help with a soviet set up
There's a gorka set on here being sold (it's not me! )
I use the gorka and it's fantastic.
The partizan and the KLMK tactical onesie are pretty good too.
