Nice to see you again Baz mate. Nice looking gun. Although I think the Short CAR-15's in the film had the XM type FH all the way to the FSP, XM177E1 style?? Unless I've missed one?? It's a top impression from a top film mate.

I've got mine, along side my AK in the "Cool movie themed guns" section.

Thanks, I just copied the one in this image -

I'm pretty sure most of the "parts guns" with mismatched flash hiders and uppers were just rubber bricks anyway. Lol
Still got a load of paint left to spray up my M14 too as its in a Vietnam tiger stripe pattern at the moment.

It's a real Vietnam period M16 sling (601 pattern?) That has had period alterations done to shorten it for a carbine and had re-enforced edge tapes added.

So recently acquired an M14 and an XM177A2 in near new condition for peanuts (by the look of them they'd been chron'ed at a site was a pass sticker on them) and that's the only sign of use ! SO had to be done !

I'm happy with how they've turned out so that's good enough for me !

Something I noticed recently was that Gary Gordons rifle only has tan stripes on it, not tan and brown. In the picture you can see where the factory finish has been worn away near the sight adjusment and forward assist. Can also tell the front half on the aimpoint is "stock" aswell.

Been asked how I did this paint job ; so the stock was already desert tan (an old BHD paint job) cut out of masking tape the tan shapes and stuck these on the stock , then sprayed the whole stock base brown , then repeated the masking tape shapes and stuck those on the stock , sprayed green over these left to sit for a couple of hrs then peeled of mask shapes then for the black I used stencils (cut the shapes out but put the tape with holes in on the stock not the cut outs) again spray black . Then left for a good 24hrs sat above a radiator too 'cook' then peel off all the tape and finally a couple of coats of clear matt lacquer.

    My two baby guns.

All my new ones have the same patterning as the Krytac.

All done with rattle cans. The lighting has done something to the colours on my phone camera, so if anyone asks it's Winter Flecktarn!

What started life as a TM Famas F1, recently rescued from my attic and over the last couple of days its been beaten up with many tools and finished in a lovely (somewhat shiny) Sand two tone. First ever attempt at a custom job, both the cosmetics and the paint.

Default What happens when you get bored!!! The spray cans comes out!!!

    Hi guys.

Got bored with my "Black" M16/M203 so decided to do a "Bravo Two Zero" spray up!!! Couple of before and after the weathering process for comparison??

P.S. That "Pink Thing" is an abomination to this Paintjobs section...lol.

    Hi guys,

Again got bored as I usually do and decided to paint my SA80 up!! Base coat of Desert Yellow, then Dark Mud Brown, then Grass Green, then a darker Green!! I altered the MagWell to fitt a real P-Mag and put as many inerts as I could find, about 22-23 I think? Finished off with the good old rub down. I was just going to go with the single Tan colour , but decided to go with this? It's done by the sponge which I like to use ATM? I like it for now, but like everything I do, I get bored easily lol. A couple of pics of how I had it before and now.

First impression, from a technical point of view, nice paint job but from a ascetics point of view? That's fecking horrible!
BUT more I look at it the more I'm starting to like it ! Well done mate !

No mate just the good old sponge technique! Have u seen the G36 I did? That was my 1st go at It? It's in the spray jobs section too I think?

If you leave it untouched it doesn't look good IMO but give it a good rub down and it transforms into a nice piece.

Basic spray job- from Black to Foliage Green (a la Warsport LVOA style)

Tempted to add a light snake skin pattern on top but will see, as it's a little boring as is!

    A little boring you say, but guns look so smart like that, big fan! I love the G28 for example;

Here's my latest spray job on my magpul Masada. I went for a kryptek style camo and it came out pretty well considering I'd never done one before.

Amazing spray jobs and particularly love the dead pool glock. Out of interest how much would you roughly charge to do a pistol like that?

Well I have had a FAMAS for quite a while, standing in a corner feeling left out. The a couple of days ago I got bored and decided I should assault something with spray cans. Tadaa!

Ps. Yes, I'm aware FAMASes mainly isn't made out of metal :D Ds.

Not sure if it's yellow enough yet though. Might go over the body as well with a worn full cover.
