Real steel thread/heading in the classified section?
30 January, 2015, 14:39
I was wondering if it is possible to add another thread/heading for the sale of real steel parts/accessories in the classified section,I know myself as an airsofter as well as a practical .22lr shooter it would be helpful when looking for real deal parts/accessories
I will add a poll to see what the general opinion would be a good idea or a crash and burn

yes but would have to be heavily regulated or would it be done like airsoft sales its up to you to check liscensing etc...
Guns: G&P LVOA build, TM P226R
Kit: ranger green JPC rig, ronin tactics shooters belt rig.
Highest of speeds, lowest of drags. (also mild Chris Costa fan boi)

Would be just an add on sub heading in the Gun Accessories section currently says Gun Accessories then sub headings of accessories for sale, spare parts wanted then just add real steel accessories
Would only be for bits allowed to sell by law ie scopes, mounts, flashlights, stocks and grips stuff like that

Go for it but personally I think you would be better off using a real steel forum instead, since most people are on here for airsoft.

Yea except that vex but there are a lot and I mean a lot of posts in the accessories for sale that are real steel related and a separate section would compress things and help people wanting to sale their real steel accessories and those looking for real steel

I think it's a great idea.
@vex, Like myself, there are alot of guys out there now that would prefer to use RS parts if they can. Specially when some RS parts are nearly as cheap as the airsoft equivalent, plus I'd rather pay that little bit more for something reliable than possibly twice that to keep replacing a crappy clone.

In fairness Vex, i only ever buy Real Steel accessories for my replicas these days. Being able to weed the wheat from the chaff in the classifieds would be nice.

I don't think it's needed. If people cared that much about it they would add 'Real Steel' to their thread title.

Yes. Because if its 100% accuracy you are after then this would be the section to look in.
Plus, you are going to be prepared to do some fitting to get the part to fit your gun, real steel Dan. Def. rails for instance.
A specialist classified section, brilliant idea.

rampage yes people could put "real steel" in the thread title but then on the other Hand people could put "clone" in the thread title to help clear things up as well which would be helpful

Re: Real steel thread/heading in the classified section?
As a buyer Id prefer it. I always list with "Real Steel" in the title as a seller, but not everyone does. It's getting irritating wading through knockoffs looking for proper stuff. What harm does having a section for real gear do? We have one for non-airsoft gumph people can't be arsed to put on eBay?

Agree with you there Fenriz that's the main reason I had the thought of a separate section

Re: Real steel thread/heading in the classified section?
It would be good to have in some regards, but will cause to many issues, People will be trying to blag it and say "bought by me as or sold to me as real steel", and this type of comment will make it a nightmare for the mods to moderate and lead people who wanted a seperate section to complain that its full of shite. The easiest thing is to make a rule that states people must confirm if real steel or clone, there is no in between, regardless how good the clone quality is.
Also, where would people sell their real steel rail covers and other low value real steel bits and pieces, personally I would prefer to sell them in the normal accesories part of the forum to reach a wider audience, I would feel that by only posting them in the real steel section that they might get missed by a lot of players. Only my view though, no wrong answer with this one really

But with a section on real steel Rainbow6 you would have a choice would you not on where to post and personally I'd prefer to buy real steal rails from a section dedicated to RS
