B.L. Tech BOSS
24 May, 2015, 17:50
I don't know if its ever been mentioned but this is something i have been following since i got into Airsoft.
I have noticed (like most of you too) that whilst Airsoft guns look real, GBBs have recoil, even some AEGs (albeit very light) and shoot lil BBs they lack the noise of a real fire arm, as someone who has fired various live firearms i can tell you that the lack of gun fire report noise is missing from Airsoft.
Whilst i appreciate that other Airsoft Manufacturers have created amplifiers they just make loud noises at best, this on the other hand actually sounds like gun shots.
Anyways its has been almost two years in the making and it appears that they are finalising the product for sale, head to their Facebook page and show'em support and hopefully they will be hear in the UK soon.

Re: B.L. Tech BOSS
Yeah, these are going to go down at absolute treat at sites which have noise limitations or are in urban areas. And by absolute treat i mean 'banned'. I personally don't see this ever taking off, never seen airsofters demanding more noise from their guns. Recoil, accuracy blah blah blah yes, but not noise.
Its a gimmick. And not a useful one at that

Adjustable volume sounds good. Assuming sites allow them and people are sensible, I'm all for them. They will make games more immersive imo. Just like with lots of pyro going off. Game changer I think.

I've seen lots of people putting loudeners on their gun. Volume can be adjusted as well.

Re: B.L. Tech BOSS
A loudener such as a Firepig still doesn't make the noise anywhere near That of an actual gunshot though. And what's the point having a device to make your AEG sound like a real gun if your just going to turn the volume down on it?!?
Still don't see it as useful personally, and I doubt the majority of players will do so either

Re: B.L. Tech BOSS
Well some sites will have sound restrictions on them limiting dB like race tracks. It would be useful to turn it down if you're playing inside buildings as not everyone has ear pro. It's still going to be loud though Seriously, check out some vids where multiple ones are being used. I saw one set in some forest and it sounded amazing, like a proper firefight.

Meh - It's bad enough needing hearing protection from BFGs going off in the same room as you, imagine when some keen bean with his gun turned up to 40rps puts a ten round burst into you from 2 metres away, or even better lets rip half a metre from your ear shooting past you...

I'm sure no airsofter would do such a stupid thing...

Re: B.L. Tech BOSS
so let me get this straight, airsofters like to look like actual combatants, carry weapons that look, feel and handle like real guns as much as possible, play games that simulate real battles, but don't want to be in an environment that sounds too realistic in case it disturbs them or they get a headache

Re: B.L. Tech BOSS
Sparrowhawk is spot-on as usual. You're happy to spend thousands of pounds on 1:1 PTWs, take a massive performance penalty for the recoil of GBBRs, and weigh yourselves down with objectively useless body armour and accessories, but when someone finally makes something that doesn't sound like a sewing machine or someone tapping a biscuit tin, it's 'meh'?
Sound and feel are the key elements of realism in airsoft. We've had some recoil, and I'll be interested to see what this thing costs and how much gas it uses.
