British 'The Division'/viral outbreak Loadout
1 June, 2015, 18:43
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to put together an awesome but realistic British loadout version of 'The Division' or inspired by this book series i've been reading called 'The Remaining'. I'm thinking this guy wouldn't need to look like a soldier and would carry only what he needed to get the job done.
I'm thinking:
blue check shirt
Torn up jeans or trousers
boots
drop leg dumpy
knee pads
tan baseball cap or black beenie
my old beat up and scuffed L86A2 and scratched up metal mags
Half face respirator
But i'm not sure whether I should go for a minimalist chest rig with mix n' match colour pouches, so it looks like its what ive scavenged, or an over the shoulder bag with the same mix'n match like the guys in The Division. Both with glowsticks and radio pouch of course.
What do you reckon?

Been listening to that series as audio books. Very good.

Re: British 'The Division'/viral outbreak Loadout
I would pretty much replicate what they wear in the division as that loud out is awesome. I would personally keep the colours neutral hours...no blue checkered shirts! If I was some some sort of post apocalyptic soldier, I probably wouldn't bother with camouflage but I wouldn't want to stand out either.
Personally I'd go:
Cargo trousers or jeans, grey shirt, low profile plate carrier with couple small pouches but mostly bare, hiking jacket(worn over the top of the plate carrier), and a tactical backpack(like the ones from the division), with glow sticks, flares, you name it attached to it. Oh and top it all off with a beanie

Yep agree with all of that. I think the closest you'll get to The Division backpack are the Maxpedition Monsoon Series of backpacks. They're monostrap, with quite a bit of molle real estate even some on the strap itself.

Re: British 'The Division'/viral outbreak Loadout
the 5.11 Triab 18 is mono strap and has molle all over it.
As for UK division.. remember they are government sleeper agents and *start* the game with a pistol and an SMG (which i assume is hidden at home) .
So any AEG/pistol of a type in use by any UK armed forces/police/SF would be reasonable for a UK style loadout.
Obviously you're a little more limited in 'scavenged' items but there are plenty of AKs and the like out there in the underworld which would no dount surface if say london were sealed off and the streets were lawless.
You might even see some more vintage WWII era stuff.
