US Marine Loadout (circa 2005) - R.C.T. 13 Milsim Team
31 July, 2016, 19:01
Hi all, just thought I'd leave this here:
We are a milsim team doing a loadout based on US Marines from around 2004-2005 and the Iraq conflict.
We have been a team for approx 4 years and are strict on keeping the kit we use true to what US Marines would have been issued or allowed to use, as a result of this a lot of our kit (cammies/ kevlars/ NVG mounts/ load carrying equipment etc) is real steel.
We have done milsim ops at several locations around the UK including STANTA, Bramley, Kettering and Kent and we are currently looking forward to doing further ops at locations such as Copehill Down & Sennybridge.
The ops we prefer are 36 hrs up with continuous gameplay which is as realistic as possible. There we are expected to complete tasks whilst working along other teams both in daylight and at night, utilizing proper tactics and equipment such as night optics and IR devices. We are currently in talks with a company about the possibility of the usage of a milspec Humvee at events where vehicles would be appropriate.
We attend training events as a squad and also as part of a bigger task force of milsim teams who we operate with at events wherever possible.
Currently we have 6 full members with 2 others who attend when commitments and most times use these numbers to split into 2 fireteams.
We are looking to expand significantly by recruiting more serious milsim players with an interest in, and willingness to, invest in a realistic USMC loadout and realistic training to allow them to work efficiently within a close-knit team, replicating USMC equipment and tactics.
