warrior 901 back panel questions

hi folks

im after a spot of info that i haven been able to get from the net and i haven't had an answer from warroir directly through their website so i would like to ask the great knowledge base here.

What id like to know is the distance across the panel between the clips that connect to the panel the vest. i have a 901 and want to add the back panel but i have the rear stock belt quite short and i am worried that the fixed width of the back panel will mean i cant sinch the vest down tight enough to get a good fit. so what is the minimum horizontal size between the clips?

I have measured my Warrior 901 back panel and it measures approximately 14" with the clips cinched down to the tightest position.
