Re: Boots?
Army goretex boots. I used them on motorbike all year round and stayed dry. £30 for grade 2 £40 for 1 or £45 for new.

Re: Boots?
Depends on your budget. Altbergs or Lowas are a great choice, but expensive, however you can get patrol boots for around £30 these days.

Re: Boots?
Meindl desert boots are great, about 70-80 a pair. Our lot have been wearing them for years. Saved many an ankle.

Re: Boots?
Boots can be very personal, what suit one may not suit another.
Better to go somewhere & try some, but ok patrol boots can be had for as little as £25.

Re: Boots?
As all the guys have been saying , get your self down to an army surplus shop and get your self a pair of ex-army boots , 25yrs ago I'd have said run a mile from British surplus boots but now ? Get your self a pair they really are top quality these days you won't go far wrong with a pair .

Re: Boots?
i use cheap hi tek walking boots, very comfortable and water proof and decent price, also in olive/brown and light weight, i used my cat steel toe caps for a game and they worn through my heel by the end of the day, didnt think they were doing that amount damage but i guess it adds up ..

Re: Boots?
Saloman comets for me. They get used with walking and about carrying the kids as well as dig days and airsoft duty. Really light weight tough as nails and so comfy. Sizing is also good for a wide range of foot shapes as the inside are well structured

Re: Boots?
I went on a well known auction site that was selling off surplus Magnums in single boots for a fiver each. Bought a left, and a right for a whole ten pounds and received a pair of unworn Magnums in my size. Absolute bargain.

Re: Boots?
I picked up a pair of Vietnam jungle boots when I first started a couple years back, they are flexible and breathable, handy if water gets in as theyre designed to let it all out too. bought them on the logic that this is the UK and wet is what we do here. They were £25 brand spanking, comes with nice chunky grip and haven't let me down yet
Damn Brad, what else you got hidden in the humvee - a fat chick?

^^^^ This!
Everyone's got different feet, and every boot will fit slightly differently. Definitely worth trying before buying, if you can
