Is the new barrel the same length as the old one? What was the bore diameter of the old one?

        Re: No change in fps?

Tight barrels are for better grouping, a by product of fitting them can be:
        Range +/-
        Power +/-
        Jams +/-

Another factor can be the hop rubber used when it's swapped out (A TM cannot be beat realistically).

Fitting one does not always automatically give better power, range etc...

If your gunsmith did it, and not you. He could have drilled a small hole in the cylinder to keep the FPS roughly the same?

            That seems very unlikely. :-)

don't think my gun smith drilled any holes.. the only other thing he did was loosen the 2 knobs on the rail so i can fit a short vfc rail.. really strange.. was hoping to up the fps a little at least with the tight bore... guess the next step is the spring?

                Re: No change in fps?

Its probably more down to the standard TM cylinder seals were designed to be at just shy of 1 joule, a tightbore wont really change it much.
