Airsoft licensed instructors?
10 January, 2017, 11:07
Airsoft certified/licensed instructors - does they exist? Had you ever met anyone with something like ASG license? Internet do not provides info about licensed ASG instructors, sport sites can't find any too:
https://zoptamo.com/uk/s-airsoft-c-uk-place
, so there is a question if it is real or not. Thanks for any response.

Comedy at its finest.

Re: Airsoft licensed instructors?
I could use an instructor to teach me how to do airsoft, the 1,000's of youtube videos and countless websites aren't helpful

You need YT videos and websites?
As StarGate said, all you need to do is go along and play!

Re: Airsoft licensed instructors?
This thread has been replicated over on UKAZ, the op apparently looking to get group of 13/14 year olds coached on target shooting with airsoft rifles, but very little info other than that. ???

Go to a site and play, best way to learn. Just two import things to remember, always wear propper safety gear and have fun!

Re: Airsoft licensed instructors?
i dont know if any certified airsoft instructors exist but if they did who would be doing the certification?
im sure that airsoft instructors exist but whether or not there is a market for professional airsoft intructors remains to be seen
i would say that if you already have some understanding of either shooting in general or fps style computer gaming then just turning up at a site and joining in might work for you, mostly because you have approx half the bases already covered..kinda
however, i've seen new players completely overwhelmed because they had no idea what to do other than point and hold the trigger. the result of them being utterly overwhelmed game after game was obviously demoralising for them AND its hard to learn when you are being constantly destroyed by a much more experienced opposition
they lacked knowledge or experience in aeg handling, shooting skills both basic and advanced, situational awareness, game/mission understanding and what was expected of them to succeed and they looked like they had a awful time when with some proper preparation they could have had an amazing time..
all of these areas could have been addressed with 1 or 2 basic 20 minute talks rather than trying to learn in situ and 'on the fly' and all of these areas could then have been developed further if a player (or team of players) wanted to advance their skillset in an 'out of game' training environment.
it is certainly possible to learn as you go but i would suggest that long sundays of woodland airsoft is much more forgiving on totally new players than fast paced cqb evening games for example. so if you are a new player and you want to 'just turn up and play' then mebbe try a woodland site first
i have been airsofting for approx 20 years and i still dont know EVERYTHING ABOUT AIRSOFT, nor do i think i can learn this efficiently by either 'playing the game' or by 'going on youtube'
i have been airsofting for approx 20 years and i can teach most people a lot of what i know in a lot less than 20 years ... for example i taught my kids and their buddies how to breach hostile doorways using grenades and a simple count off method, took less than an afternoon and they enjoyed learning a specific skill requiring teamwork and timing that they may never have picked up 'by osmosis' in game

Re: Airsoft licensed instructors?
OK, so there are no instructors of the AirSoft, the best thing to learn something about it is to self learn from YT or come to a group meeting (even without a gun, just to watch how the game looks) right? Ok, will remember that :D
Also this is strange that sport listings and similar sites take AirSoft as the category to search, that's why the earlier question is here
Anyway thanks for advices and good words :D
