Seeking advice on TM MP5 uprgradea/fixes 😀
13 January, 2017, 19:58
Hi guys, recently got a TM MP5 off here which worked ok first time with but had low FPS. Now on semi fire the gun seizes up after 3/4 shots and you have to switch to full auto to get it working again. Any ideas? Also looking to get Lipo battery for it, what Voltage etc would be good?
Willing to spend money on this gun with recommended upgrades for better performance!

Re: Seeking advice on TM MP5 uprgradea/fixes 😀
Hi,
Depending on how old or how much use its had it could be a battery issue but that conflicts with the fact it frees up on full auto.
I would suspect there is something wrong with the selector plate / cut off lever or failing that something amiss in the gearbox, possibly something as simple as a piston O ring.
Have you done gearboxes before?
If your happy with standard rate of fire and dont want semi fire headaches run as big a capacity 7.4 Lipo as you can fit. Vapextech is good quality brand.
TM's are damn good out of the box, realistically if you are sticking to sub 330 FPS i would keep all the internals standard, replace with new genuine TM parts if anything is past it, fit an M100 spring, new TM bucking and a 6.03 EG barrel. Lovely little SMG!
Mmmmm MP5!

Full auto uses less energy than semi, so a weak battery that quits halfway through a semi shot would work a bit better in full auto, also its not unusual for tm guns to be lower in power around 260 fps
