Turning my G&G FFR into a SAW.
21 February, 2017, 19:34
Hello.
Wanting to give my FFR squad automatic weapons capabilities and characteristics for woodland venues.
So drum mags is a definitely important, but which 1? Aesthetically I prefer the singular round drum mags.
Also, internal components. What do you think should be done in order to achieve this?
Would love to hear from someone who's done it before or those mad scientists that manage to pull crazy stuff like this off.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Turning my G&G FFR into a SAW.
Before you start spending time and money on this, you should be aware that no self-respecting site is going to let you run an all-plastic box-magged stubby M4 as a light machinegun.
This is because guns with the weight of a pocket pistol, the dimensions of a personal defence weapon and firepower of a carrier battle group are, to put it politely, generally considered unsporting.

It's a good job I've got an FFR and not a Firehawk then isn't it?

Is it? Which bit of the phrase "all-plastic [...] stubby M4" do you feel does not accurately describe the FFR?
To be absolutely honest even if your FFR is an all-metal 14.5" gun it's still an M4 and nowhere good will let you run a box-magged M4 as a support weapon.

The FFR is not a SAW. No matter what you do to it, it will be an M4 type thing with a bipod and a stupidly large mag.
If you want to run a SAW, buy a SAW.

Not very supportive of someone asking for support no site's I've ever visited for a skirmish day has stopped anyone from using a box mag on anything even cqb on semi only its not ideal but if its what he likes why not

Re: Turning my G&G FFR into a SAW.
And plenty of sites I've visited won't allow you to use it...
Think the OP needs to check what sites he visits/plans to visit to see if it is an option
If it is, no mad scientists needed, just stick a box mag and maybe a bipod, job done really

After a bit of research this has been done before and can be bought too. With the Krytac LMG & Stoner LMG.

Those are not even remotely similar to what you think you've described in the original post.
