How long can AEGs or gas pistols sit around unused?
I generally cycle the batteries every few weeks. So this is less of a concern but how long can you generally leave AEGs and gas pistols sitting around unused?
I used to play a fair bit but life got in the way. I haven't played since January... it's now March.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

For aegs as long as the main spring isnt compressed it is only the battery that could degrade, over a short period of time like a year or so, anything longer then the hop rubber and possibly orings on the piston head and cylinder head could deteriorate and the grease could congeal, but that's over years.
For gas guns as long as they are lubed and you have a little bit of gas in the mags they can sit around for ages

My guns have a habit of being fine when you put them away after a game, then take them out a few months later and theyve managed to break themselves
gotta love airsoft and its reliability :P
