PTS Masada issues
15 March, 2017, 15:39
Hello!
I just picked up a used PTS Masada, and it's got a couple of issues.
It will fire, but even on semi it will often misfeed the gas or something. Like a really pronounced hiss and then bang. I have 5 of the polymer magazines, but one of them leaks so that'll be another issue to sort.
Also, the charging handle base is a bit knackered by the looks of. I've asked **** ******* to get prices for the entire assembly. See below.
(Click to embiggen)
The nub that the charging handle base lock attaches to the charging handle base is sheared off, and whilst it sits inside the assembly, it won't function. I'm hoping this is part of the cause of my rifles firing issues, but I'm not that well versed on its operation.
Also, the charging handle itself falls out constantly.
It's really annoying, because when this rifle wants to fire, it does it so well.. and then it just randomly craps out. I've avoided touching full auto and stuck to semi.
I'm actually curious as to know who a good GBB specialist is for me to send it to them to get this thing to peak performance.

Re: PTS Masada issues
The hiss then bag could a couple of things. Check that the area around the hop up is clear, as if there is an obstruction then the nozzle doesn't seal fully and you get a hiss of escaping gas until the the pressure builds and the fires the round and resets the bolt. The other thing id t3st is if it happens with every magazine or just a couple. Sometime the outlet valve can stick open and vent too much gas giving a big hiss then bang but then won't fire again as the majority of the gas has been spent.
