Re: *G&P Sentry with BTC Spectre Build* (which Internal parts to get with it?)

Well as said, Lonex will be better quality and has better QC, however the 16:1's are based closely on the Prometheus HS gear set which has design flaws regardless of how decent the materials are - that is the 10 tooth bevel gear and its pairing with the aggressive teeth profiles of the corresponding 36 tooth spur.

Sure, if you are running the setup relatively pedestrian then it's unlikely to cause you issues, but a well checked over 13:1 set paired with a decent quality 9 tooth bevel (riotsc, or if on budget the ZCI is good) will outlast the Lonex set, certianly in mis-timed situations which can occur if you get a jam. There isn't any doubt on the 9 tooth bevel design, it was engineered from the ground up to address the inherent flaws in the tooth profile design of the marui spec 10 tooth bevel. And since it's introduction, its a problem that has long been considered solved. Gearset failure in a well configured high performance system these days should be extremely rare.

As for 13:1 being speed config, the actual ratio is 13.65:1 with the included 10 tooth bevel, and 15.17:1 when paired with the 9 tooth bevel - For reference, the Lonex HS set is actually 16.46:1, so its not that far shot.

If you should need multiple examples of 10 tooth bevel failures across many brands (including those of expense), I have plenty of examples sat here from the past

Could you give a link to the ZCI gear you're referring to? I've checked a few places, but it's inconclusive with the images all showing 10 tooth bevels.

      Thanks.
