  • Selling a rif as spares and repairs

Hi, I am looking to sell my g36 rif. I am listing it as spares or repairs as is had a jamming issue and hasn't now been fired in 3 years. Is a ukara needed for selling a rif, as spares and repairs.

Does it still look like a rif? If it does then I would say yes you do, not however if you sell it in parts but there's a grey area if you sell it in parts to one person who is under age or has no defence

Whether it's functional or not isn't relevant. It's what it looks like.

If you are selling a complete gun that could be easily mistaken for a real gun, then it falls under the VCRa, and you would need to ensure that the person you are selling to has valid defence.

If you are just selling parts individually, like an outer barrel, a receiver or a pistol grip, those do not fall under the VCRa and no defence would be needed.
