New Player - ASG Devil Spr 14.5"

So I'm pretty new to airsoft, and I somehow managed to win a prize draw put together by a rather large airsoft magazine.

This netted me an ASG Devil SPR 14.5" now being newish to airsoft I hear trying to sniper would not be advised, what would be the first thing you'd do with it?
eg. I'm short, do you think I would struggle with a RIF this size? Make it a DMR? Or just put batteries in it and see what it does?

Any advice is appreciated.
