  • TLD GR-20 Grenade

    ok guys

i have one of theses grenades , but after other people that have used one ,

i know that a guy called Duffy has done a video on youtube ( link follows )
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9qNaKv2Vao

but he doesn't show the loading and different charges you can get

i know that the mk5's are 120-130 db
    the mk7's are over 170db

but the company making this grenade are making a three bang charge ,

but if anyone has a review of the grenade and tip and advice you can give to make it better and last along time bar the normal de carbon clean

There is a big thread about this on arnies if you are a member of that forum.

They are pretty good from what people say, although reloading is a bit of a pain in the arse to begin with, but once you get the knack its suppose to be a 30s job.

I'd get one but I'm waiting for it to get some support first.

      Re: TLD GR-20 Grenade

      Nope not a member

I got one and tested a mkV today in my park wow it load

      They are easy to load

For the mark five have the adapter in the bottom base but install the fuse end it the spoon plate first to have a tight fit for sparks to sit on it with no breeze

screw on the bottom cap to secure it making sure the spacer
plug is still in as it is the adaptor

to charge the grenade , unscrew the spoon block from the grenade screw a ignition cap onto the small thread all the way down but don't cross thread them

once that is done , time for the spoon plate using gloves and do so as it bloody hurts if springs on nails , pull back the
metal springer plate so it is primed , install the spoon and force it down without letting the springer plate go back to it's start position, install the pin after the
spoon is inline with the seating holes pressing the plate
      down .

Install the pin to hold it in place then re screw
onto the grenade and it is ready to use again

the mkV's are around 120 db in a 10ft square room
      the mk7s are 180-190db in a 10ft square room

        Re: TLD GR-20 Grenade

I had 2, they are super frosty. I wasn't bothered about the recharge time I used to push back the spring plate without gloves using the tip of my thumb, as you can retract it quick enough if needs be to not get hit.

Do that first befor replacing the cap.

Spoons need to be captive or they just pi55 you off after the first couple of uses.

I sold mine mainly due to the inconsistancy of the bangers. The mk7's I had all detonated mk5's not so. It's infuryating spending the time to replace everything for it to just go 'click'....Even though Phil will replace any dud's. By then it's to late you miss your kills.

I would use some silicon grease on the threads of the main body top and bottom and soak them in a bowl of washing up liquid afet use toremove the carbon build up.
