      Re: Australian Sasr

Roxy that is very true, I do prefer OD myself, the tan choice was more that I have tan MOLLE mag pouches already, but then i have an OD battlebelt that i was gonna use with it, and I plan to use an OD H harness setup for an Aussie Infantry/ Norforce loadout, once I have the cash to get a Steyr. Sod it looks like i'm selling the tan pouches, OD it is!

            I like that alot Sid.

What I really want for my loadout is OD boots of some sort, maybe even just brown ones. I really feel like the tan is letting me down a bit. (That holster is long gone now)

              Re: Australian Sasr

I am not a fan of mixed Auscam. Australian military would generally not do it. it is one or the other. Maybe you would get away with Auscam webbing over desert, but that is about it!

I've seen a fair few pics of the Aussie spec ops task force in afghan wearing mixed auscam and desert auscam before they switched to
Multicam, as well as regular aussie soldiers so it seems to be a regular practice, maybe for similar reasons as brit soldiers mixing dpm and ddpm in Helmand before mtp

                  Tan ciras vest
                  Dpcu combat uniform

Belt kit with safariland 6004 & hk usp 45
                  Od nomex gloves
                  C8 sfw with elcan

Based around 2003 as recent pics from the sandpit show them rocking full multicam and magpulled m4 carbines, very sim to current uksf picscthat have been seen.
                  minus the ff:
                  Meindl desert fox boots
Belt kit with safariland 6004 & hk usp 45
                  Od nomex gloves

i dont think they use C8 sfw, not sure though. m5 is their version.

I didnt realise a thread like this exsited.

Nice loadout guys, i love the AUSCAM pattern, is so nice so i wanted to do an Aussie loadout. Okay its not really a SASR load as such but an aussie one in progess.

My fav part of it is my real bush hat, i love this thing. Im using an m14 soc 16 atm, like i said im not really going all out SASR but like the idea of it. A few things to get still like OD knee pads, boots and some patches to start off with

Sorry about the bad photos, i dont have any good ones. I shall get some better ones and post them up.

Quick question regarding aussie loadouts. If I'm using an AUG A2 what would be a good scope to put on it that would keep it looking reasonably authentic OZ?

An elcan is a huge scope. Much better suited to an m249. But I appreciate the effort to help
