Re: USA M18A1 BB Claymore
Good post. I too looked into a claymore. They are not expensive considering the application.
I am pleased to hear they work good, i imagine in a defensive scenario its always worth the hassle of carrying/setting up.
Flour though? No thanks. If it gets into eyes, mouth, nose, gun, groin- its all bad in my opinion. This is a bb battle not particle warfare!
Now, im off to start a grenade thread...

Re: USA M18A1 BB Claymore
The answer is "somewhat"!
Sad I know, but I counted. Takes around 100 pellets, a major retailer quotes the dispersion as 20 degrees.
I'd say that was rather tight, we are looking at around 90 degrees. The range is greatly effected by the angle the claymore is set up at. As you can see the pellets go onto the sheet, which folds in. When you set up most the BB's fall to the bottom, which means stood at 90 degrees, the range is poor.
Tilting the claymore back to near enough 45 degrees gives a nice range, guessing at 10 -15 meters. Which is plenty really, as you'll detonate when they are ontop of it. or better still, a trip activation.

Re: USA M18A1 BB Claymore
hopefully will be learning how to modify these to trigger when a laser brakes! like on cod 4! save having to look behind you to trigger it plus you can place and forget
(i don't advise you completely forget where you put it though as you will ever be able to find it!)

Maybe some kind of remote control, which raises up a large telescopic flag? :D
