South Yorkshire police do use G36s now. They have there training site near to where i live and i see them there at least once a week

A good reason I was told for switching from White to Black was so its harder to distingwish the gaps inbetween the body armour if being attacked etc.

I hate the #### white shirts. Love my polo but not looking foward to this summer no matter what im wearing!

the vests are the regular armour you see country wide but the ones i saw had a wierd p90 style pouch on the front

There isn't really a standard country wide issue armor. They are individual to the force, and usually specialist teams have different types. For example my local force issue a slightly different model of armor from the standard issue to it's OSU 'matrix' teams, and a slightly different version of that vest to firearms units. But they all tend to go to the made companies so they look similar.

with regards to cuffs they shouldnt be out of the holder untill you have full control anyways!

They dont hurt when applied correctly, checked for tightness and locked.

To the above pics looks good but the sling seems out of place. Looks like the Army style SAS one. I just think a black one would look much more uniform

I don't think we have another sling for him to use. I have a black one but that's all mine :P

It's just over a week now until we us ethe loadouts in game. Hopefully we'll have some action pictures to show you

yes sadly no black sling. Might see if i can get one but its very close now to the game. The nija tape is because of my work. my other pics did not have the word police on them lol

There's a cheap black sling at our local retailer that could work. I'm thinking I might get a black baseball cap for my loadout. Could do with something if the helmet look starts annoying me

The green slings are ok, the official HK canvas slings were green for years.

Another tip for authenticity, is that AFO's usually have two radios, one for the area channel, and another for the Firearms channel.

A few years back, at the defence police college, a recruit got a bit carried away when training with speed cuffs and tried to slap them onto the DS a bit too hard. Unfortunately he had them with the rigid side down and broke the guys wrist.

This was the same DS who had told them that of the cuffs are nice and firmly in position, a nice firm tap on the cuffs with a baton will get them cooperating quicker than anything else.

Must have been karma!

So here I am at the op. Few pictures taken of my face but you get the gist of the kind of thing that was happening. An epic weekend all round even though none of the police team fired a single shot. I did get to ue my handcuffs though!





And here's the team on the cold morning after. We had spent most of the night patrolling the area. Only a few hours sleep each. I switched to my wolly hat as I was bloomin freezing!
