Aside from not being able to weld steel to aluminium without very expensive equipment and highly trained specialist welders, and the fact that threaded steel rod weighs loads and will ruin the guns cycle, this is a great idea.

This is so true no one can argue!

Glock's aren't made for silencers and for the KWA series the threaded outer barrels are very hard to comeby i sure as hell know i was lucky to grab mine when i did of the forums. Only thing i ill argue with you ben is the steel rod cycle rate it won't ruin it but it sure as hell slows it down alot, it all depends on densisty and thickness as the majority of outer barrels on pistols have a bit of freedom to move you'd have to upgrade the spring guide and blowback springs. I had to mod my blowback springs to keep up with my stainless steel barrel and still the slide cycle isnt as satisfying as it was, its still my baby

            Less chat more glocks :P

Heres my new baby... TM GenIII G17 oh my god its beautiful... Ive never had a gun sit in my hand and just feel so natural before, it just feels like an extension of my body... even my FN 5-7 doesnt feel this good, now I just need to buy a tonne of mags for it and a laser/light combo for the rail, or perhaps a nice big M3.

In which case go for what you like the feel of. It is worth it, but I'm a 1911 man so I'd go night warrior.
