Sordin and pmr

Hi Guys

I have just got a binatone 750 pmr and a Z-tactical sordin. The ptt has just arrived with a 2.5mm jack on, I can hear the incoming comms but I cannot seem to get the ptt to work or sent replies using the microphone on the sordin.

Any ideas?
