• G&P M4 Sentry Battery problem

hia, brand new member (brand new airsofter too) just purchased my first rifle. the G&P m4 sentry.

excitedly i opened the box and attempted to put the 8.4V 1500mAh Crane Battery id bought with it into the crane stock. however it just does not fit, no matter how i try. does anyone else know the correct type of battery or has had similar problems?

photos will come later but it seems that atm my camera has turned invisible.

if iv posted this in the wrong place or anything just pm' and il be sure to relocate.

    thanks in advance ztara

Im guessing you will have to buy the G&P dedicated battery for the stock. Is the battery black and does it say G&P on it?

sigh, no. iv got a feeling his is going to end with more money spent. i bought the one which there was a link to right next to the gun which said, 'you may also need' i just presumed they would have put the right battery with the AEG. makes sense and all. thanks, got any links to were i might get a battery like that?

lipo = Lithium Polymer battery.. otherwise known as Li-Po

edit* had a look for you..seems the compartment is so small that only Li-po batteries fit..

Do some research on Li-Po's, in general they are smaller, more powerful, but require a strict charging routine (u need a good li-po specific charger)

            hope that helps

no, no it does not. looks nothing like that, not a li-po. and what does a charging routene mean? im guessing it something to do with timing its charge cycle.

Re: G&P M4 Sentry Battery problem

well li-po's just need special li-po specific chargers..and they have to have a small amount of charge in them all the time (i.e never let them drain completely flat or they become a brick.) theres a thread around here somewhere on li-po's

but anyway if your battery compartment looks like that picture you just showed me then yeah, that G&P specific one should be the right battery. if i recall correctly its the one used in most of the G&P M4's anyway
