WE aeg running 11.1

Hi folks recently purchased a WE scar l. Used it with 7.4 lipo an I thought the trigger response and rate of fire was a bit slow.
So my question is although it states it will void the warrantee will the gearbox run on a 11.1 lipo or should I make do with the 7.4?
