Re: Length of Charge
you need to know the out put of your charger, hes a calculation
Capacity of battery / output of charger = time in hours
3000mah battery / 1000mah charger output = 3 hours
Note 1000mah = 1 Amp so if your charger lists its output in amps, convert it to milliamps. 2.5 amps = 2500 mAh etc
Hope that helps
Bust a move.

Re: Length of Charge
so to charge my battery useing my charger that can charge at 2A it should only take 1.31 hours to charge? that seems rather short...

Re: Length of Charge
Sounds about right. I wouldn't charge at that rate though, if you value your battery's life. Is it not a variable charger?

Re: Length of Charge
For another calculator, use my guide.. But yea, I charge all my batteries at 500mA, or thereabouts!

If you need to charge a battery quickly, then do it, but I wouldn't do it often. Ni-Mh batteries don't like being charged at high rates of ampres. Ni-Cds you can get away with but not Ni-Mhs. I normally charged mine at around 0.8A-1A and they've lasted me a fair few years

Re: Length of Charge
Sounds like you have a varipulse charger.. so just crank it as low as you can, and go for it! Loads of battery guides out there, so fill 'yer boots!
