a few of vietnam questions

1) could i use the Ruger mk1 pistol as a side arm acquired "in country" I'm not sure on the release dates but I have seen examples of the Ruger been made as early as '63
2) for a late Vietnam mercenary impression could I use the east German border guard (strichtarn) shirt (wilt the sleeves removed) with green fatigue trousers?
3) do m14 ammo pouches fit magazines for the FN FAL?
4) would i be able to use the FAL with a mercenary load-out (it seemed a popular weapon at the time)
