CA MP5a4 Hop Unit
3 July, 2011, 13:30
Hi all,
One of the guys in our team used my new CA MP5a4 yesterday - first impressions are good, particularly from my rare photographing & observing role on the day! One thing I did notice though, and didn't expect to see if I'm honest, was that the range seemed to be fairly impressive, made even more so by the fact it was firing 257fps on .25's (around ~285fps on .20's if I'm correct?)
This leads onto the question of; is CA's new version hop really that good? The MP5 was level pegging with my teammates DMR SR25 (admittedly it's not firing 400fps as it's part way through it's upgrade), but nonetheless, a fairly good starting block!
It was always my intention to add a TBB and replace the hop rubber for a slightly better one to give it extra bit of grouping at the end of the shot, knock up the range a bit and, possibly, fps.
Good idea, or bad idea?
