best way to reinforce a plastic g3 receiver?

i want to stiffen up my plastic g3 receiver (cant find a metal body anywhere!), anybody done this? any tips would be appreciated

Once repaired a broken plastic M4 body with an old knitting needle (nicked from my mum!) and epoxy .
cut a very shallow trench down the inside of the top of the receiver with a dremel . Scuffed up along the sides of the the shallow trench for the epoxy to have a good surface to hold on too then just epoxy’ed it it . Held up fine as my ‘lender’ until i binned the gun a good few yrs later .

iv done something very similer lol seems better but havnt tested it yet
