how do you set the remote detonation.
i cant work out how to do it

Turn the thing on, and hold down one of the letters. This binds it to that one, it should click.

Then arm it, and press the button. :D

If that don't work, take the batteries out from remote & claymore for a min, then try again.

i did the tounge test on the 9v and there was practicality nothing so new batteries methinks

it wouldn't make the click but the red LED is quite dull

The original batteries are shocking, maybe try some new ones.

Head down the forum to the review section, I put a little "pimp" guide to a ACM claymore I had. Changed it from a heap of junk to a great little piece of kit with some simple changes.

Worth a look i'd say!

also can you get those little black clips that are on the end of the silver rods i seem to be missing one

Probably, not sure. One of mine walked off too.

I'd say B&Q or something, take one down. Don't mention the word Claymore unless you want to make everybody nervous! :D
