Re: Licensed Galil
The only difference between the CYMA and the ICS and KA Galil is that ICS and KA are way more expensive, one of them has a working fire selector on the left hand whereas the others are dummies. Also they are obviously better quality, but for double the price, and i would so so so just reccommend the CYMA because with a few upgrades (tightbore, hop guarder and battery) then it runs just awesomely!!!!!!! It's so accurate out of the box and its just a sick gun. But the mag problem as i've mentioned before. Pm me if you need to figure out how to get mid caps for the CYMA galil. Oh yeah sorry forgot, thats another thing, the midcaps for the KA galil cos £32 each, the high caps are like £26 or something, i paid £40 for 6 mids.

I did indeed, they aren't fully functional as of yet though, giving them to a friend to make them all snazzy. Who are you?

I guess I can see the appeal in having a 100% perfect right down to the markings copy of a real steel, but not when the price is so different between a licenced and unlicenced, I mean look at the Masada ACR, once it got liscenced it added about £100 to the price!

I think the reason why people are obsessed with it (i'm not) is because they want there weapons to be as close to the real things as possible. The CYMA Galil was my first new gun and it just so happens to be licensed too.

Re: Licensed Galil
What is peoples obsessions with liscenced/trademarked guns?
Am I the only airsofter happy with having an un-trademarked gun that costs half the price of a gun of exactly the same quality/performance that happens to have "colt" or "glock" stamped on it? :P

Re: Licensed Galil
The only problem with the £219 CYMA Galil is that you cannot get the magazines from the UK and they are only high caps, no mids.

To be truthful I'm just happy to see a Galil in more players price range, I'd like to see more players weilding one of these babys!

Fossil is right. I wrote a thread on this subject some time back. Basically Cybergun buy up as many trademark rights as they can. They are not an airsoft manufacturer as such. They farm out to many companies in China and have the trades put on them for the European market. So in this instance looks like they have sub contracted to CYMA for this gun. That is why Cybergun weapons are so very variable in the quality of their products. It depends who is making it for them at the time.
Spot on. CYMA ones are good, but you need to know what Cybergun are re badging.
Just found the Galil though for £200 - don't know what site you were looking at gaffa.
