Re: New WE MSK GBBR
These are now available right here at Zero One!
So they're definitely available without importing and still being made.

Totally agree, problem is, it's this type of discussion which will certainly impact sales of the MSK in the short to mid term, especially in the UK. A definitive statement from WE would put this all to rest......unless, there's some kind of advantage to be had from the apparent ambiguity of the MSK's legal status and continued existence.
With regards to spare parts, I would be cautious about expecting said retailer's ability to get 'any part required', I called recently to ask about a buying a Delta ring for my M4, of course he didn't have any, but also couldn't give me an estimate on when he could!!! This is for an M4! and I'd hardly call a Delta ring a highly specific part. In the end I bought a real steel M4 D-ring and luckily it fitted. This will not be an option on the MSK, so if something did go ping, expect a significant wait until your rifle is operational again.
My advice remains the same, if you want a collector unit (like I did) go ahead and buy it, if you want to use it in game, right now, I'd say buy the GHK!!

Re: New WE MSK GBBR
As with every purchase it's down to personal preference,I like the look and solid feel of the msk so I brought it and don't regret it at all and it is a production one NOT a pre production model, the issues with selling the msk over here came from WE Europe not WE themselves a very strange situation indeed and best left to those with 100% first hand knowledge to sort out not "my mates mate who's dog was talking to another dog who's owner heard from a man down the pub therefore knows" kind of statement.
As for replacement parts that's no problem either from what the retailer has said he can get them direct fro WE rather than through WE Europe and I'd imagine RA-tech are working on reinforced parts as we type away on here.
So if you like the look and want one buy one if not don't simples :-)

That's for you to decide. FYI this rifle is now up on the WE home page, so it looks like it's officially being made. Personally, I would avoid it. Why? WE must be aware of the confusion regarding this rifles status in the airsoft community, and yet, as a company they're doing nothing (as far as I can tell) to rectify that confusion. This is poor business practice.

Re: New WE MSK GBBR
But, are WE still making them? When it eventually breaks am I going to be able to get spares for them? If it's pre-production what about teething problems (see SMG-8 and dodgy mags)? Why should I buy this over a GHK AK105?

There's one for sale in the For Sale section, not a bad price for the UK. The only other (reliable) way to get one is to import.

Re: New WE MSK GBBR
Got mine today needed a bit of fiddling with to tighten things up on it,glad I didn't get a msk spare mag with it as it hates the mag that comes with it (might just be that mag) but is ok on std WE gas m4 mags as well as WE co2 mags :-)
