For anyone wondering .
Inch and metric are both compatable on the Star/ Ares L1A1 , can't speak for the kings arms one tho.
I've fitted real steel parts in both inch and metric for various configurations on the Star with the need for only minor fetteling.

Both checked ad the look very nice
Still can't figure out why they make the gun open like the real one when doing so breaks the air nozzle though.

Best way is DON'T
I sussed out that the best way is undo the 2 screws, drop the mag catch out and slide it apart <-- -->
Then remove the stock, when you put it back together wind up the little alan bolt grub screw that stops the break leaver moving. Then no one will be tempted to try it. Replace stock and leave it alone
