Yeah, which is why that bit is more poetic license.
The compass does actually work though.
They move there rifle away from the compass.
Right before placing it on the bonnet of a metal vehicle.
section 24 of the 1968 Act
Supplying imitation firearms to minors
1)It is an offence for a person under the age of eighteen to purchase an imitation firearm
2)It is an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of eighteen.

I think it might be that they need it to navigate their way around their rifle. Pointy end dangerous end, trigger go bang bang, butt go bash bash?

Even funnier is watching the OC of badger troop 2RTR standing right in front of his chally whilst trying to navigate his way around Salisbury Plain

Re: British Forces Weaponry
have to agree with gadge on the painting of sten's, here's my own scratch built one(pre dates the viva and agm) i know its using thompson mags but the mp40 had only recently been in production when i made it and the mag's were far from common.

quite abit of it is the rs parts apart from the actuall body and barell not gunna say where they are from though. basicly all the added extra's are genuine down to as small as the ladder rail covers and every scope pictured is rs apart from the one on the l115a3 which i am getting a leupold for it this weekend
I am getting the feeling you are getting these from a rather dubious source.

Re: British Forces Weaponry
Finally finished my B20 esque M16.
Fully painted now.
Shoots at a nice 345fps with a variance of 3 FPS.
Compass as a movie reference.

Re: British Forces Weaponry
Really like that! I miss my M16!!
Got bored at the weekend and decided to repaint my L119, quite happy with the results
Also, a more recent pic of my L129' I've since bought a proper LMT crane stock in dark earth to complete the look but don't have any pics of that
Really want to paint it but I'm a wee bit scared!
