Glocks are easier to maintain, lighter in weight, and less recoil. hence why 80% of the world use them in armed forces.

Well, the current sig 226 has had some major faults. The most common being a hairline crack over the rear of the slide.

                  Sig 226/L116 Faults:
                  Slide cracks
                  Frame bends easily
                  Breech blocks come loose
                  pins and springs are crap
oh and the accuracy is shocking

your grip's on backwards lol, as for the sig/glock debate i personally prefer the sig over the glock as its more comfortable to shoot but for reliability and maintenance the glock it is

Haha, I know its backwards, but it has to be to accomodate the battery box unfortunately.

didnt see that post, i shall be training again in july but was with 3 para til last march had to pull out the regiment for a medical issue and shall be retraining soon could of been back mid lastyear but the army has bmi bollocks that has to be followed apparently if youve got muscle you cant go into training as " your more at risk of injury" never heard anything so daft in my life considering i passed selection top of the group ...twice.... you can get scrawny chavs joining up not because they want to but because they have to but you can have well built people who have worked hard for it. not to mention soldiers who have been through it came out then cant get back in for the same reason.... they really need to sort there recruitment issues. anyway back on topic before i rant further lol!

Aye my mate's brother's applying at the moment and as he's a rugby player and about 18 stone of solid muscle, his BMI was through the roof. The amount of extra paperwork it generates is apparently quite impressive.

it needs changeing they are sowly re working the way they do things infact the career's offices are slowly fadeing out and the whole thing is going to be done online infact now when people go in they are just being told to apply online the recruitment offices have no power now its all one call centre type of thing that do stuff over the phone,
the career's offices cant even send you to pre selection anymore however adsc is being changed to they have specialist doctors up there now.
many people that go ( i'd say atleast 2 a day) get rejected for havering heart murmors like i did when i first applied although before i went to adsc i had letters from the 3 top cardioligists in the uk saying i was fine some scummy gp with his head too far up his own arse thinking he was a member of the armed forces ( all adsc medical staff are civvy,..... and stuck up with false power usually) decided i wasn't and sent me home much to the disgust of the actual army selection staff. but they are slowly improveing the whole thing. ANYWAYYY!!!!

Its a shame the careers offices are closing. Oxford was lovely to work at, walking round giving out leaflets to the foreigners, hippies etc before going into maccy d's and staring at the hot uni students.

Still, at least all the 20 year full screws and sergeants/possibly a few Serjeants have to do some actual work now.
