Re: Reviews - Why can't we name and shame?

Im not really sure Id care too much about having 2 sides to every story... I'm only bothered about my side.... The CONSUMER side.

All the same, I knew/know of other forums which do allow Good and Bad reviews before I started this thread and guess what... the retailers I've had issues with are on there with others having similar experiences.

The reason I started this thread here was because ZerIn is such a complete forum, loads of active members, great classified adds, easy access etc...
but its like a Swiss Army Knife, it has everything, but it's missing the mini fold up scissors

Anyway, once again I'll reiterate, this seems only to be my opinion... The world, as it seems, will remain flat forever.

the consumer has (as posted above) been known to instigate a bad sale......so what your saying merely reinforces why a name and shame is a bad idea.

this seems to say "my opinion/beliefs are right...and your all wrong".................
which again reinforces why a name and shame is a bad idea.
i understand what your saying, but there is ALWAYS 2 sides to a story (maybe even more)....lets face it,some people believe that they are always right because they pay the money (and the old saying "the customer is always right") but a business wont go out of there way to screw you over, you, the consumer is what keeps them going....somtimes they screw up.....its called human error.some HAVE gone out of there way (by some of the stories ive heard) to screw you over.

so if we had a name and shame which was started with good intentions......how could WE know that the op was telling the truth.............and that a good seller (private or business) just made a cock up and was trying to rectify it........and if the name and shame was open to all members then who would be able to control it.

lets say you sold me somthing, agreed it would be with me within 4 days.
then you got called into work unexpectadly or had manflu so the item didnt get posted till 2 days late.
whats to stop me from going on a N&S section of a forum and giving you a real slating.....to me,i could say you lied, you tried to cheat me,you never answered my pm's and i never got the item when we agreed on it.

now you couldnt answer pm's coz you was at work,or laid up in bed...you never tried to cheat me or lied, and i eventually got the item a couple of days later.......................too late...damage done,i was hotheaded and selfish and impatient, but ive just destroyed your reputation.

its a thread that would get out of hand and take up too much of the mods time to moderate it.

Im not talking about personal, private sales here, im talking about businesses set up to run and make profit.
Sometimes sellers will bend the rules, break consumer law and damn right tell you porkie-pies to continue to bring in the profit.
        This IS true!

Anyway, the above comment about me being right and everyone else being wrong is a twist that will now make this thread very hard to continue.
I never once said that a retailer review section is right. I simply acknowledge the fact that a clear majority of forum members think its a bad idea and that therefore answers my initial question to this thread which is "why we cant name and shame", the answer being because nobody wants to.
The bit about the world remaining flat is a humorous reply to an earlier post. A metaphor for not mentioning other retailers. That's all and by no way a dig at who's right and wrong.
I still love this forum with or without the compact scissors.

Your just not getting the point.

If this forum didnt have Zero In in the top left, and the words "by Zero One airsoft" in the top right a "retailer review" section would be just as good as it is on the rest of the airsoft forums.
You got so many negative responses because...
          1) The forum you posted the request on
          And
          2) straight off the bat you wanted a "name and shame" section, specificaly to slate retailers.

Its just the one pair of foldy scissors that will just never happen while thier name is above the door

Allow me to post my thoughts on this.

Shut the hell up Gadge. Just take any bad experience as life experience. You don't need to be all up in arms over it.
