M60 Shorty conversion

I have the intention of converting my A&K M60VN into an M60 Shorty. But i'm not sure how to do it.

Would it be better chopping a barrel down to the desired length? or can Shorty barrel be purchased elsewhere (I have looked/googled but the only one I've found is an Inokatsu one which is well out of my price range).

I was thinking perhaps the E4 outer barrel would fit as they are the same manufacturer.

Can anyone else shed some light?
