Amoeba not firing

My friends Ares Amoeba AM009 has ceased to perform.He tried it in his garden after 3 months of non-use,unfortunately the correct battery (lipo) had been run flaaaat as in 1 cell @ 1.0 and the other @ 0.7 so he used another lipo and it ran ok.Alas at the site it refused to work,battery swaps,etc,etc,no joy.I have it in bits and there is no response unless I short the 2 grey wires on the board ...I'm thinking the worst....any advice appreciated...thanks.
