problem with aug gearbox

please help!
took apart the gearbox on my aug the other day to fit a new nozzle and spring.
at first it wasnt firing at all when i put it back together, motor was fine so just assumed it was the anti reversal, took it apart and back together again.
its now firing but its just awful, no consistency on the bbs and some just going vertical when they r coming out
its not an issue with the hop checked that
also lost semi auto fire which doesnt help
really made a right mess of this one
any help would be much oblidged!
