just wondering if there are any benefits of gluing in bushings or bearings? And do you do it?

    thanks

You use bearing lock, that's what it's designed for, strong enough to hold even loose bearings or bushings in place but none permanent.

Benifits are they then don't rattle arround loose in your gear box potentially.

        don't see any.
If the bushing is loose it's because the shimjob isn't done properly.

no because thats shimming too tight.

If the bushings are loose they will rattle and spin causing the gearbox case to wear when it's the bushings job to take all that wear so you only need to replace the bushings not the gearbox case.

EDIT: so bearing lock will prevent the gearbox case from being damaged .

            Sorry you are incorrect.

You should always have a little bit of movement on the gear shaft or you are over shimming.

Seating the bushings in the gear box correctly will as above stop the hole they sit in becomming bigger.

If the bushing is glued it won't move at all
I know the bushing should have play. otherwise the gears will have too much friction.
But from "loose" to "little play" there is some difference, but that's nitpicking from me.

The bushings want no play what so ever , the gears want to shimmed so they have little play so they still spin fast.

Nope, I think reading your post you are thinking loose as in moving up and down the gear shaft, we are talking the other direction perpendicular to the gear shaft. In a circular motion as the gears rotate. Well I am...lol. I assumed the gears would be shimmed corrrectly.

                    Ah... I misread then

No problem. I thought that's what you were thinking...lol.
